The Emirates Youth Global Initiative aims to showcase the global reality and perception of Emirati Youth to its truest identity: Will Powered Youth and Determined-Youth. The UAE make an extensive investment in Youth as its greatest change agents and strongest citizen diplomats. Through this initiative, we are promoting our youth policies of inclusion worldwide and also utilizing youth to send the true, authentic messages of the United Arab Emirates

Global Participations

The Federal Youth Authority is keen on empowering young people and polishing up their skills through overseas participations. Global Youth Councils

The Global Youth Councils bring together Emirati students from across the world to promote cross-cultural understanding, boost leadership skills, and prepare students to make a positive impact in their universities and communities. The GYCs foster global relationships among Emirati students and empower them to become ambassadors for Emirati values worldwide. Most importantly, the GYCs function as a knowledge-transfer mechanism to implement learnings and best practices from student experiences abroad in the UAE.

How can we register and participate?

The opening of registration for entries will be announced through the initiative's website and the Foundation's social media platforms.

What are the selection criteria?

  1. He must be a UAE national (holding UAE nationality).
  2. Be within the age group of 18 to 35 years.
  3. At least hold a high school diploma.
  4. He has a general culture and knowledge of youth issues, both internally and externally.
  5. To have high personal skills.
  6. Fluent in Arabic and English (speaking, writing and reading).
  7. To have influential contributions and initiatives in the community (local and external).
  8. Pass the personal interview successfully.
  9. (Other criteria dependent on the general framework of posts)

What are the roles required of the participants?

Roles depend on the type and content of participation, to be determined and announced later on the initiative's website.

What does the initiative logo symbolize?

The identity of the global initiative for UAE youth was inspired by the true footprint of Sheikh Zayed, may God rest his soul, which carries the highest meanings in achieving goals and leaving a good impact in various parts of the world.

What are the ways to communicate with you?

The initiative's e-mail (which will be available on the website, in the initiative's section) and the institution's contact center.

Are volunteer hours registered and approved in this initiative?

Yes, and the participant is granted electronic participation certificates.

Can I participate in more than one post during the year?

The participant has one opportunity per year, in order to give opportunities to the largest possible number of youth.

Who will bear the participation costs?

Youth Federal Foundation.

Are participants allowed to accompany?

Yes, and the accompanying party will bear the costs of escorting (travel ticket, housing, ...).

What is the length of time for posts?

Depends on its executive framework, (5 days at most).

Is the participant being given letters to the employers?

Yes, the participation period only includes (including departure and return days).
